Custom Shoes
2017 - 2020
This is a collection of custom shoe art I did for several different people. All use a combination of paint pens and Sharpie markers on white canvas shoes.
Mexico-Inspired Shoes: These customs were created for my friend who wanted to celebrate their heritage. They knew she wante to incorporate rainbow colors from a serape, details from the Mexico flag, and bright dahlia flowers.
Star Wars Shoes: These were made as a Christmas gift for my cousins, comissioned by my aunt. The classic yellow Star Wars logo is recreated on the inside panels, and close-up details of R2D2 and BB-8 are featured on the outsides. For the back center seem as well as the tongue, a green gradient was used to mimic light from a lightsaber.
Dr. Who Shoes: These were commissioned by a fan of this show, who had a specific list of characters and items they wanted to be recreated. One shoe was meant to represent the light (‘good’) and the other to represent the dark (‘evil’).
