Homage to Wayne Thiebaud

This piece was an homage to Wayne Thiebaud, with a focus on using lots of different colors to create interest and detail, particularly in the shadows and outlines. No white, black, or gray was allowed to be used, and the end result was meant to look realistic but in a stylized way. This piece was sold at a charity auction to raise money for the Marion County Humane Society in Iowa.

It was created with colored pencils on gray paper, and the finished piece is 14”x17.”
