Band Poster

This design project was intended to convey a message using imagery and type, and the chosen medium was a band poster. The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’ immediately came to mind when thinking of iconic imagery, so that became the basis for the project. I wanted to create a poster for the album that felt vintage but with a modern approach, so I used bold font, shapes, and layers with a muted color palette. Edge relationships were explored, and the illusion of 3D layers were created by inverting colors, all while maintaining hierarchy with the choice of colors and scale.

This was created in Photoshop, and I used this image of the Beatles walking on Abbey Road as a reference.
