Homage to Georgia O’Keeffe

The goal of this piece was to recreate a famous work of art using only primary colors. The subject matter also needed to be altered in a way to make it unique, while maintaining the same overall feel. The painting this work is based on is ‘Pelvis with the Distance’ by Georgia O’Keeffe, and I am proud to say it won first place at the Pikes Peak State College Student Art Show. It was created with acrylic paint on canvas board, and the finished piece is 20” x 25.”
